Keen readers will remember my tale of woe regarding the future of my MR2 upon the arrival of my new car. Well the time has come, as I now have another of my dream cars sitting in my driveway.
First of all, let me introduce you to my 2003 Subaru Impreza STI PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack)
What can I say. Moving from a small, naturally aspirated sports car to a fire-breathing animal that eats most cars for breakfast is like night and day. The Impreza blows my mind every time I drive it, and a shit-eating grin becomes a permanent facial expression.
However, I am not parting ways with my MR2. I just can’t bring myself to sell it. I’ve tried rationalising both sides of the decision and my conclusion is – I don’t need to sell it, therefore it’s not going anywhere!
Besides, with the petrol and running costs of the Subaru I may well be bankrupt by the end of the year and the modest little MR2 might just come along to save the day…
