So, a few months back Toyota announced they were revealing their “MR2-based GRMN Sports Hybrid Concept II” car. To put it bluntly, I think it’s pig-ugly. So I thought I’d see if I can improve it somewhat.
The main letdown for me is the headlight design and the weak wheel offsets, but it also didn’t help that the colour is just plain nasty. Fortunately for me, I enjoy dabbling in Photoshop every now and again – and this was a perfect opportunity to practice a few skills!
I set about just subtly editing a few features of the Toyota press image. I changed the headlight design altogether, gave the wheels a more aggressive stance with the addition of a slight dish on the rear and stronger offsets, lowered the body, changed the colour, added a small spoiler – and removed the door handles.
I think it slightly improves the overall design – but I still won’t be buying one in a hurry! (Protip: Click the images for a larger view!)
