With my MR2 recently suffering from some rather nasty clutch slip (admittedly self-inflicted, thanks to the addicting nature of Santa Pod!), I felt it was the perfect time to implement some long overdue engine-related changes and modifications.
In light of my lack of mechanical experience, I opted to take my MR2 to the much renowned MR2 specialist, Pacific Works. I had spoken to Luke at Pacific Works prior to my visit and we discussed and agreed on the work that needed doing:
- Entire Engine & Transmission Removal
- Fitment of new EXEDY Clutch
- Fitment of new Cambelt & Bearings
- Fitment of new Alternator Belt
- All new Coolant, Engine & Gearbox Oil
In just a matter of hours, he’d single-handedly removed my entire engine, completed the required work and had the car running perfectly. I have to say I’ve never seen somebody work so fast and effortlessly in my life!
As a result of this Pacific Works will now be my first calling point should I need further maintenance, and I would recommend them without hesitation. Check out my pictures below:
